I just returned from a 5 day trip with aforementioned Uncle to Las Vegas. I had fun visiting and playing with Al Ek and Junior Brantley at a nice place called Jalisco Cantina.
If you're going to Vegas, Al plays there every Tuesday and Saturday night. Go say hi!
I've recently reached an agreement with the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music to teach harmonica and possibly lead some classes and workshops. I'm anticipating that this will be a good direction for me, and for the conservatory.
I'm looking forward to performing at an an event on Nov. 15 at the Astor hotel. It is a harmonica convergence of sorts, with performances by Dave Miller, Cadillac Peter, Benny Rickun, Geneva Red and myself. We;ll be all plying individually with a house band. Sounds like fun, starts at 8:00.
